Darrick E. Antell
Darrick E. Antell M.D. F.A.C.S. is a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and an official spokesperson for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons for over 20 years. Dr. Antell is a board certified plastic surgeon who maintains a private practice in Manhattan.〔http://www.antell-md.com〕 Besides having an internationally renowned practice in Manhattan for over 25 years, Dr. Antell is perhaps best known for having operated on more identical siblings (twins) than any other plastic surgeon in the world. His published studies include work on studying different face lift techniques as well as evaluating the effects of lifestyle choices on aging in identical twins.〔Antell DE, Tacanowski, EM. “How Environment and Lifestyle Choices Influence the Aging Process.” Annals of Plastic Surgery. 1999; 43.6: 585-8.〕 Most importantly, he looked at smoking, excess sun exposure and stress which all accelerate the aging process.
